IIT Bhilai temporary campus in G.E.C Raipur, which is also shared by IIM Raipur as transit campus. Block B of G.E.C.Raipur is being used as the Academic block of the college which houses the Administrative Section, Classes, Labs and Library.

IIT Bhilai offers Bachelors of Technology (BTech), Masters of Technology (MTech) and Doctoral programs (PhD) in various departments. The Institute made its modest start with introduction of BTech program in August 2016. The Institute is currently offering BTech and MTech programs in the departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE) and Mechanical Engineering (ME); and PhD program in the departments of Chemistry (CHM), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Mathematics (MTH), Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Physics (PHY).

Academic Programmes of IIT Bhilai

IIT Bhilai offers a semester-oriented undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs with an objective of imparting best quality science and engineering education. Admissions to the academic programs are synchronized with an academic year, though in some cases, it may be synchronized to the start of a semester. An academic year starts in the month of July each calendar year and ends in the month of June of the next calendar year. Each academic year is divided into three semesters – Monsoon, Winter and Summer semesters. The Monsoon and Winter semesters are two regular semesters while the Summer semester is a shorter semester. IIT Bhilai is currently offering Bachelors of Technology (BTech), Masters of Technology (MTech) and Doctorate (PhD) programs in various departments.
